Bad News for Bush

sad_bush.jpg
Bush is getting into dangerous territory. Polls show bad re-election numbers for Bush. Kerry is leading 47% to 44% and they are tied in a three-way race with Ralph Nader. The disapproval for Bush keeps growing while Kerry scores points with the American people.

Bush and his administration continue to use fear tactics to boost his re-election. Do not let him win this election!! Have you noticed that atomic secrets all off a sudden are missing? Or now all these "stronger" terrorist groups are coming to attack us soon!?? Fox news supports Bush and his fear tactics boycott both and may God bless all of us!

Don't let KERRY win this election! A vote for Kerry is a vote for the terrorists! We need a president who is a strong leader. God bless George W. Bush.

I'm sorry to read comments from "Marine Mom" who I am sure I would share many concerns with. Especially concern for her son or daughter in the Marines. She quotes an anti-Kerry slogan as reason for gullible voters to vote for Bush. She, of all people, should examine Kerry's career-long record in support of veterans like her son or daughter. And while she's researching it, instead of passing on canned fear slogans, she might examine the cuts the Bush people have made to veterans programs late at night in Congress while no one was looking.

Whoever is so naive to believe that Bush has done a good job in pursuing terrorists shouldn't have the right to vote because they do not listen to the news or have a very poor memory. Bush is counting on these people.
Osama was in Afganistan and, by diverting our attention and resources to Iraq, we have given Osama time to regroup. Now he is stronger and all over the world. Bush has misled our nation scaring the hell out of everybody with a Saddam Hussein who was an immediate danger to us all and convincing us all, including the Congress, that we had to go to war.
Now, we know it was all a lie and, now, he says that we went to war because we have to spread democracy to the world. Shame, shame, shame!
My heart goes to our soldiers.

after 8 years of a piece of work like clinton.
A fresh new America has a chance to return to our lifes. And some are so ignorant of the facts of life that the news can dictate to them who is the better candidate.Kerry is a wishey washey, say what he thinks will get him votes person. At least Bush admits he is just a man, warts and all.
God knows what time will see, but for myself spare me the do what it takes to get elected and
give me a man that trys and trys again.God bless the USA.

Let's see, after eight years of President Clinton we had a surplus, a highly regarded place in world politics, and a thriving work force.
Now we are deeply in debt, have a diminished presence in the world and a greatly reduced work force. Yes, Clinton had a problem with sex but I don't recall that that was one of the criteria of a president. If good old George is anyones answer to our countries nedds we are indeed in deep trouble

Posted by: James Kelly at July 12, 2004 08:46 PM

Are there really that many idiots in our country now? What has happened to the USA? Who in their right mind, with at least one half of a brain, would ever vote for George Bush for re-election. I currently work in Seoul, Korea (I am not a GI, government employee or English teacher), and I travel throughout Asia and the rest of the world. I lived in Hong Kong for nine years, and London, England for two years. I can honestly say, this man has ruined our country's reputation all over the world, sewn hatred and mistrust for American's with his policies of go it alone and screw everyone else, the dumb involvement of our war in Iraq, his archaic and destructive economic policies, and his overall stupidity, butchering of the English language, and arrogance. GW is an embarrassment to our country, as is Tricky Dicky Cheney.

If this clown is not the worst president that our country ever had, then I don't know who is. What makes matters even worse, is that he was not actually elected by the people, but by a 5-4 vote in the Supreme Court, all conservatives in the 5 majority members, ofcourse. On top of that, they stole the State of Florida.

This guy has to go, and will go. I want to be proud to be an American again, and John Kerry and John Edwards will bring integrity and pride back to America. The latest Gallup poll has them ahead of Bush and Cheney, as do most other polss. Keep the numbers coming. Bring it on!!

And god bless America!

President Bush was damed if he went to war or damed if he hid not go to war by the left wingers. If he did not go to war over the intel he was given the left would have called him weak and incompetent, but since we did go to war to protect this counrty he is a oil wanting war monger. The war is just an excuse for the left to get their power back in the white house! Oh and by the way Bush inherited bad intel and a recession!

I have 3 young grandsons that I want to reach adulthood ........ under Kerry, I suspect that may not happen. I will not be around to see it, I am "on my last leg", but as long as I have a breath left, I will fight Kerry and his hate-Bush, bash-Bush group of would-be politicians. May Kerry fade, along with Michael Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, Barbra, etc., into the history books with the largest landslide of all elections. Eight years of the Clinton "do nothing" administration was enough. DEMOCRATS and their evil tongues are the ones that have caused so many of our young men and women to die, NOT GWB!!! The Ted Kennedy's of the United States are the ones that are spewing hatred for America with their outrageous and UNTRUE accusations.

Posted by: Rita at July 13, 2004 04:03 AM

ALthough it seems twisted I read in the New York times that the terroists actually want Bush to win because the terroists have been able to gain more power through Bush's increased attention towards these barabrians.

People always listen to the media. Why? The media is a bunch of people who sit around and make up crap that the rest of us are supposed to believe. Try an outside source like the BBC World News. Then when you see what the rest of the world is like, and WHY Bush does what he does, you will want to vote for him as much as I do. And joan tidwell, you're an idiot.

Posted by: Andrew at July 13, 2004 04:09 PM

George Bush has done more for the good of this country than we will ever know. Shortly after inheriting a recession from Clinton he was hit with 9/11. Of course the economy will falter when airlines shut down and fuel prices soar. Bush immediately began MUCH needed tax cuts, and leaped to the defense of the country. It has been 3 years and we have yet to see another major terrorist attack on our soil. We have also freed 2 countries from brutal dictators. These countries now have a chance to enjoy the freedoms we have here. The tax cuts needless to say have begun to work and we have enjoyed 12 Quarters (thats 3 years) of economic growth since the Clinton-Gore recession. We now have the highest home ownership rates ever, the unemployment rate is lower than when Clinton ran for re-election, and the average home income is up. In other words more people are working for better pay and thanks to lower taxes they get to spend that pay how they choose. Had Kerry been in office he would have allowed the UN to stop us from defending ourselves, and he would never lower taxes as his time in the Senate shows. This would have left us open for more terrorist attacks and the American people would still be suffering under an extremely heavy tax burden. The economy would still be in distress and people would still be out of work more than ever. Bush has done all the hard work. Let's keep him in office to ensure no Democrat comes in trying to reap the benefits of the Bush-Cheney economic boom while at the same time turning us back towards a recession with higher taxes and less security. If you don't believe anything I have written here PLEASE research it and get the facts for yourself. I'd rather you vote for Bush because you have educated yourself not because you believed some guy on the internet.

Why would anyone with any intelligence vote for "Hanoi John"? We finally get a decent president who has morals and shows strong leadership and we have these Bush haters out there, such as the terrorists and Michael Moore's. Kerry has lined up with the "hollywood gang", which is typical of him. Why would any one be so stupid as to vote for Kerry when he will raise our taxes. If Kerry would make such a fine president, why isn't he doing his job as a senator. He has missed most of the votes in the senate, because he is out for himself!!!!!!!!!!!

Reading most of these comments, I only feel pity for America. The knowledge of current affairs from most of these bloggers is not only demoralizing, but scary. I don't know if our ignorance about politics and current events lies in a non informative coercive media, or our terrible public education system, or a culture that does not promote a civic education. Whatever the source, the problem permeates throughout many parts of America, and this blog is a simple manifestation of this dilemma. Don't simply read and absorb partisan propoganda, read bipartisan viewpoints or both liberal and conservative sources to conjure up an pseudo-informed opinion.
Before you support an issue -- "I have 3 young grandsons that I want to reach adulthood ........ under Kerry, I suspect that may not happen" or "President Bush was damed if he went to war or damed if he hid not go to war by the left wingers,"--gather facts to prove your presuppositions.

I voted for George, but do not agree with his
decision to invade Iraq. We should have sat tight,
announced to the world that it has forgotten what
happened to Japan, and with one more attack on
America, we would bring them the terror they so
badly desire. Kerry and George are a Sunday School

The president of the United States should have a presences that unites the country not divides it. Bush, right or wrong has failed to lead by drawing a scary and very real line that divides the country. Half of the country is not listening to Bush and thus I think it is time for some one else to lead.

Jerry Allen is a terrorist. He thinks he knows all, but in reality he knows nothing. Just like John Kerry. If there is anyone that is afraid to stand up to the terrorists of this day it is liberal democrats (i.e. John Kerry supporters). President Bush has made the USA strong. Libs just look at dollar signs, real Americans can see that our economy is the strongest it has been since the early '80s. GW inherited the recession from the Clinton Admin. Open your eyes you idiots (Joan Tidwell), if Kerry takes office you can kiss freedom goodbye. He (like most libs) is a coward. He talks out of both sides of his mouth. Depending on who Kerry is trying to lure into his deceptive lies is how he will answer a particular question. Only one true, honest, strong candidate.....GWB in 2004!

Posted by: Don at July 14, 2004 12:31 PM

Where is Osama? Have the tax cuts really helped? When the feds cut taxes, the states have to raise them -- it's pretty simple economics. We want goods and services to remain the same yet we think tax cuts were the answer. Wake up, b/c that measily tax cut, which most people will be negligibly affected, does in no way counter balance the spike in gas prices, health care costs, education costs, the cost of food. Kerry has a substantial health care plan in which he wants to roll back those tax cuts for the top 2% (like they really need to be rewarded when the average American can't even keep up with their debt and put their kids through college, never mind save for retirement). People hate taxes, people hate war (and seeing almost 1000 American men and women die since major combat operations were declared over), people hate the government telling them what they can and cannot do, but believe me when I say this is: Kerry has ideas for this country that will put it back on track. If you notice all of Bush's ads, he is all about attacking Kerry -- he can't even run on his own record because it's so lousy! He will be the first president since Herbert Hoover (remember the Great Despression?) to have lost jobs -- net loss of over 1 million -- under his watch. He will have invaded not 1, but 2 sovereign countries. Meanwhile, the mastermind of 9/11 is still on the loose. Americans feel less secure, most of the world can't stomach us or Bush's policies, and regardless of your affiliation or where you stand on certain issues, you really need to think about what Bush has done. Dig a little deeper than watching the big news channels. Stop and think (if thinking is a liberal idea, then call me a liberal). Do you really need one party or the other telling you what you should think? A vote for Bush is something you will surely regret -- He's been hostile to civil rights, environmental rights, consumer rights, education (remember No Child Left Behind -- oops, he forget to fund this mandate!), health care (just today it was revealed that the Bush presciption drug bill will end costing tens of thousands of Americans their coverage), and the best he can do it blame John Kerry. By the way, John McCain was Bush's first choice in 2000. McCain wisely said NO.

Geraldine it sounds like you may vote for Bush this election year. If you do I feel that would be a smart choice. The reason I feel that that would be a smart choice is because of the following reason: You had mentioned in your last blog that Americans are not well informed, that may be true to a certain point. But how well informed does a person need to be to understand that terrorism must be stopped. When thosands of people are dying in a country, either by genocide or dictatorship every thing else is a side show. I honestly feel that Kerry does not have the stomach to face the true threat of terrorism world wide. And that is why I am voting for Bush.

I want to know why at the democratic convention. Why is that Senator Clinton is not speaking at the the convention. It seems to me she can make the case for why Bush should not be relected again. I hope there there is a good reason why this is going to happen.

I'm 18 years old just going into college. My family is typically Democrat, but I always go for what I, myself, believe in. I totally agree with Don. I have watched all the political campaign commercials and Bush just seems to be attacking Kerry's plans and lifestyle opposed to telling America what he has in store for them for the next 4 years. Who wants a man who acts like a child running our country? Its not about who's better than who.. it's about who cares about our country and our people! Bush just wants to make himself look better than Kerry.. well maybe he should do something GOOD for our country instead! He just took us into war for NO reason!! Saddam had NOTHING to do with 9/11! Why did we invade Iraq and kill innocent civilians.. in the US and Iraq both? We lost enough lives from the bombings. Why are we still there? It just doesn't make sense to me. Please explain! And if by going to war.. this is helping our country.. why is everyone more scared, people upset, people dying, and our economy sucking so darn bad? HELP ME UNDERSTAND!!

Goerge Bush is an honorable man, something John Kerry strives to be, but will never achieve. Bush has been faced with the necessity to make some of the most difficult decisions any President has ever had to consider, and he has done so with the courage of his convictions. I shudder to think what might have happened if Kerry, or worse yet, that idiot Gore had been in office.

An earlier blogger spoke of the nation's divisiveness over Bush's policies. The simple fact is that no matter who is in office, the country will be divided over their policies. If we think back, we were not involved in Iraq or Afghanistan when the Kenyan emabassies were bombed, when the Trade Center was attacked previously, or when any other of a number of atrocities were perpetrated upon our people. I think our commander in chief made the right decision to take it to these animals, to try and hunt them down on their own turf, rather than sit on his hands and wait for them to bring more wanton destruction to our great nation. Can you fools not see that these people don't need a reason to attack us? We exist, that is all the reason they need, and their propaganda machines have misled the press (gullible children that they are) into believing that Bush and his administration started this whole affair.

That gutless bastard Clinton knew exactly where Bin Laden was at one point during his presidency, but lacked the moral courage to act upon the information. Look where his leadership has gotten us, and think about what world opinion would have said about him if he had ordered Bin Laden disposed of. Comments were made of world opinion of George Bush, and some of the biggest complaints came from France. Truth be told, the French were doing nothing but complaining for the sake of their economic ties to Iraq. They had major monetary investments in Iraq that would be lost if Saddam was deposed. Those cowards cared nothing about the plight of the Iraqi people, only for their own wallets. And by the way, since when should we as individuals, and in particular our President, allow his judgement to be clouded by the keening and wailing of a nation we had to defeat twice in war (Germany) or by a nation we had to bail out twice as they were unable (read lack of courage) to do so themselves (France).

Our military has but one purpose, that being to carry out military objectives. The people of Iraq were held in a state of abject terror for nearly 30 years. You simply cannot make me believe that they are not better off now than before. Saddam simply had to go, before he started yet another of his wars. Are things perfect, no, of course not, but these matters will resolve themselves overnight. The biggest problem in Iraq is not the American presence. It is the obstinate refusal of the radical religious leaders to allow the Iraqi people even a smattering of freedoms we enjoy. To do so would diminish their power, so instead they incite resistance and rebellion, fomenting further chaos. Bush can take one of two courses, stand his ground and see the mission through or turn like a cowed dog and run with his tail between his legs as Clinton did in Somalia.

Wise up folks, he may not be the most literate man alive, but he is the best choice for President.

Posted by: Rob at July 14, 2004 08:44 PM

I like the type of poster on these sites that give the record of Pres. Bush. They always mention that Clinton had a surplus budget (remember your high school civics tells you that laws are made in Congress which was and has been Republican), lower unemployment rate and no terrorism. There was never a true budget surplus realized under Clinton, they were projections that never truly realized. Also, what does the term surplus mean? That the 47% of Americans that truly pay taxes when all credits are applied OVER PAID FEDERAL TAXES. Left to the liberals I’m quite sure that I would have seen yet another social program added to the rolls since it is not possible for the Federal Gov. to run a surplus. Then when the tax rolls are down, how would we pay for the new programs. There have never been more Americans working than there are right now. Unemployment might be higher as a percentage, but more Americans are in the workforce. Clinton could have killed OBL three times, could he not make a tough decision?

Fellow Americans, what have we become!? Why are we so carried away in ourselves, greed, and lavish lifestyles (including politicians)? Does anyone not care what it means to be an AMERICAN? I for one haven't forgot. I am currently in the Air Force. I am not supporting either Bush or Kerry in this election. I simply want to let people know that we have a military for. Reason, to keep our families, friends, and most important, FREEDOM. That has been "the way" for a very long time. We have it so bad don't we!? Try visiting any of these third world countries and see how the people there live. You'd be happy with your little apartment, dog, child, or even a cardboard box and not a care in the world. I, as a true american patriot, do and will continue to support whoever is in office. Society wants to call Bush a war-monger. Sure, we have and still are losing lives in this war, but what people are not understanding is that terrorism is not just a thing that happens once in while. Terrorism is a living threat 24 hours a day. If force needs to be used in eliminating this evil, so be it. I am a New York native. I had no relatives involved in 9/11, but my fellow americans were. The mentality of a large mass of society I feel truly did not feel for those people that have been killed, injured, or lost loved ones. Seems that the cliche of "Well it couldn't happen to me or my family" is evident. I guarentee for all those who were killed or affected in some way had a choice to fight proudly before hand would have grabbed an M-16A and went to war! If not, your a coward, an do not deserve to call yourself a patriot, or even American at that.

Posted by: Ed at July 15, 2004 02:37 PM

How can anybody in their right mind say that George Bush is an honorable man? He lied to the American people just to get us into a war. He had to rely on his 5 cronies on the Supreme Court just to get re-elected along with an army of cops down in Florida who happened to block people in African-American communities from voting.

It's amazing how many of the conservative pea brains on this forum argue about Kerry's lack of Patriotism. Did John Kerry try to break sanctions on a known terrorist nation for the sake of oil profits? Did John Kerry go off partying while he was in Vietnam? Did John Kerry cut the budget for VA hospitals which serve military veterans?

I also find the silence of the "black helicopter" wing of the Republican Party to be amusing. God help it if you want to keep someone from stockpiling an arsenal of weapons while at the same time it's ok to poke around somebody's private life through the Patriot Act.

Folks, more and more of the American people are waking up to the fact that George Bush is a fraud and the Republican Party is morally bankrupt. Unless the Republicans drag OBL out of a cryogenic lab, we will prevail in a major landslide. And there is not a single thing any one of you can do to stop it.

Boy, you Democrats. All the whining that I read. Good grief. You are never happy about ANYTHING!! EVER!! Don, sovereign countries, please. The Taliban in Afganistan were haboring these terrorist. Known fact. I guess you would want to negotiate with them. Don't you get it. They won't negotiate. They are out to kill you, me or any other American. Republican, Democrat, or Independent. They hate America and the freedom that it stands for. I pray that we will never have to sacrifice like the WWII generation did. They gladly joined the Armed Services to protect this country. I don't believe we have men with enough backbone anymore to protect us if there were an all-out invasion. You probably would want to sit down and discuss it with the U.N. first. Wake up before one of your loved ones is killed. It will be too late to stop them then.

Posted by: Ken at July 15, 2004 04:18 PM

John Kerry would have us get permission from Europe before defending America. As for the war in Iraq. Try to imagine Iraq run by Islamic radicals with Iran and Syria on their borders. Think of all the oil they would control and think of all the terrorist training camps plotting to destroy America. We can not pull out or surrender. The terrorist do not take prisoners. This is why the thought of Kerry as president should frighten every American.

Posted by: David Rankin at July 15, 2004 07:55 PM

Why do people keep bringing up the war in Iraq as a dividing point for the election. If I remember right, both Edwards and Kerry voted for the war. Bass your vote on other issues. Bush has brought the economy back from the slumping days of Clinton, whom took credit for things Reagon and Bush #1 set into place. If you look back, the economy was high at the beginning of his term and was starting to slump at the end of his first term. Though I know Kerry is not the same person as Clinton, I still would prefer Bush over Kerry.

Posted by: Eagle7796 at July 15, 2004 09:49 PM

I find it interesting how some posters here try to give as much credit as possible to the republican Congress for Clinton's surplus. Using your logic, Tip O'Neill and his Democratic Congress (he was the speaker of the house for those conservatives here who are a bit slow) were responsible for the fall of communism as well as the reagan economy. Using your logic, the current Republican Congress is solely responsible for the three million jobs lost in the past four years. I guess you can say the budget deficit that this administration has burdened us all with is also the responsibility of the congress, rather than the administration.

Look, do yourself a favor. Learn to think for yourself. It is real easy once you try. Do not sit in front of the tv like a drooling idiot watching Bill O'Reilly all day. I'm sure watching the news for you people is becoming increasingly harder. For 20 years you have spouted your hate. Finally, it has come back home and you fools are drowning in it.
Have fun.

I would just like to point out that the majority of bloggers who have posted on here in support of George Bush speak of his morals. It seems to me we have begun to equate religious fervor with morality, but one does not guarantee the other. Nor does morality say anthing of ethics. I think Bush has one of the poorest work ethics I have seen in a while (case in point, the number of vacation days he took in his first eight months in office, not to mention the leg up he recieved due to his last name) and he's also had more problems with substance abuse than almost anyone I know. Finally, Bush was directly responsible for the disenfranchisement of large numbers of Black voters (predominantly Democrats) in the South, including Florida. Evangelical Christianity does not equal morality.

p.s. I am a firm believer in the Republican value of financial conservatism. I fail to understand how the ballooning deficit we are experiencing right now fits into that ideal.

Posted by: Jenn at July 16, 2004 02:49 AM

Where to begin.... The single most important issue facing this country right now is the war. Edwards (on CNN with Larry King) makes the claim that Bush got us into this war for some deep, dark, conspiratorial reason. He seems to have a rather short memory, or he's a bald faced liar (which, seeing as how he's a Democrat and a lawyer, seems equally likely). The blunt reality is we have been at war with terrorists since the late 60's and have refused to recognize it. What would you call the machine-gunning of the Pan Am counter in Rome in 74? The many, many hostages taken )(some killed) during aircraft hijackings? The taking hostage of our embassy workers (Embassies are U.S. territory, for the ignorant among you), the first attack on the World Trade Center (Under his munificence Bill B.J. Clinton), the bombing of our embassies, the damn-near sinking of a U.S. Warship? Want more? Try reading- unless you've been educated in the U.S. Public school system, controlled by the NEA, another arm of the Democratic party. We have, for the past 35+ years, refused to recognize that we've been at war. Finally, we've had to recognize and respond. More "negotiations" won't cut it. Bush has the correct visceral response- you killed us, we kill you. Very Simple. Any other response just won't do. As for Europe- I was unaware that Bush was elected to represent the wishes of Europeans. As Charles de Gaulle said, "What's good for France is my foreign policy". He was correct. Who cares what the rest of the world thinks? Europe is cowering under its' own Muslim invasion and thinks it can negotiate with terrorists. They thought they could negotiate with the Nazis too. News Flash- these people interpret kindness for weakness.
For the record, I'm an American who was raised in France, have my MBA from a French college, have been around the world twice, and own a vacation home in Spain. The myth that Bush supporters are necessarily "unsophisticated" and "unworldly" is pure hokum. I do not agree with all Bush's policies- I doubt if any politician is ever in agreement with all his supporters on all issues. But we are at war. The world IS a safer place without Saddam. We have stopped Pakistan from exporting nuclear weapons technology willy-nilly, Libya has given up its' nuclear weapons program, Iraq no longer has the two tons of enriched uranium we just shipped out, no longer harbors terrorists like the killers from the Achille Lauro,no longer trains hijackers at Salman Pak, no longher pays families of suicide bombers (which is aht the 9/11 hijackers essentially were) etc. etc. etc. If Bush acted from wrong information (really too soon to tell- China just found, a few months ago, a chemical wweapons cache left by the Japanese during WW2!) he was acting from the same beliefs that all leaders of the western world, and their false god, the UN, had. It is absolute insanity to attack him on this point. Saddam himself acted in such a manner to perpetuate this belief. If Bush was/is wrong, our actions in Iraq have sent a very powerful message to the Muslim world that it's a new day- and it's about time.

George Bush represents just this. He has proposed the first amendment since abolision that would actually take rights away from American Citizens. They claim John McCain is on his side, look how he voted on this issue: "NO" And all this at a time when American soldiers are dying every day in a country we now know was no threat. Look up the Carlisle Group and see who is profitting from this war. Hurricane season is upon us and my neighbor, a republican, can't find affordable cinder block to finish an addition. Check plywood prices lately? Throught the roof! Where'd it go? To rebuild Iraq. Haliburton is the only one who can afford these basic building materials. Been to the pump lately? Why are fuel prices so high? Where's the oil?? Not here. Using the excuse that anybody in this world could seriously damage to this country with Kerry in office is blind loyalism to the right(wrong) wing. Come on !! Maybe if we keep all our troups in Iraq, instead of at home protecting us. There will be more cops in NYC protecting the repubs at their convention, than there are troops in Afganistan looking for Bin Laden? Al Quida grows stronger every day and our warmongering is their biggest recruiting tool. Bring our troops home, end the reign of fear and return Peace to our country. I grew up watching soldiers die every day in Nam on the evening news. Now, my children hear of war every day, of course, the right leaning press doesn't show the bodies, the caskets, the body counts of our soldiers and of the innocent Iraqi citizens we're supposedly protecting. Peace, now.

Bush(& Daddy) Got There Millions From The Bin Laden Group and The Saudi's. There's Evidence That Links Him To These Groups In His Military Records/Other Documentation of Which I Recently Saw On the News, Were Destroyed. Destroyed? Why?
Why Would You Destroy Your Military Records Unless You Had Something To Hide!Especially If Your Running For President Youd Think That Presenting Those Records Would Show The People Your Pride And Devotion Toward Your Country! And This "War On Terror"? Its All Complete Bullshit!!Because If You Do Your Research You'll Find Out That Iraq and Afghanistan Played Very, Very, Small Roles In 9/11. Take a Step Out Of The Painting And Look At The Big Picture For A Second. Bin Laden Is Saudi,All These Barbaric Be-headings Are Taking Place IN Saudi Arabia, 23 Out OF The 25 Suicidal Terrorists Involved IN 9/11 Were Saudi.Bush Is Buddy-Buddy With The Bin Ladens And The Saudi's Because They Have Made Him And His Family VERY Wealthy. And Money Talks Folks. It Really Is The Root Of All Evil.Dont Get Me Wrong, Bush Did a Good Thing By Destroying The Terrorist Camps In Afgan. & Iraq. But At The Same Time, And IN Reality It Is Nothing More Than A Diversion Of The Real Culprits, The Saudi's Who is the Main Source Who Has Funded And Supplied These Terror Groups And Given Them not Only the Money But the Power To Carry Out These "Missions." Bush Also After 9/11 Shipped The Entire Bin Laden Family Out Of The Country So That They Wouldn't Be "Inconvenienced." He Didn't Even Have Them Interrogated!! Its Obvious That Bush Is Sleeping With The Enemy. Bush Is The Terrorist!! Bush Also Incredibly Cheated In The First Election. And Bush Supported Call This Man "A Moral, Honest Man." Come On People, Lets Face IT!A Vote For Bush Is A Vote For The Devil Himself And The Fall & Destruction Of America. Do Not Be Played For A Fool! Be Smart, This Is Your Country,Your World! Do Not Be Brainwashed By Bush's BullSHIT Lies & Deceit Any Longer!

What amazes me is that the Kerry supporter just turn a blind eye to all of the things Kerry has said and done in the past. They ignore his voting record. Ignore his aiding the N. Vietnamese and his insults to our soldiers serving in Vietnam. What is Kerry's real vision? Is it a poll and then we will flip flop on every issue? John Kerry is a sick individual. He is only interested in power. Bush on the other hand has a vision where we can fight terrorism in the middle east vs on our soil and you oppose this? The Hate Bush people don't get it. We were attacked by Muslim Extremist. We need to fight back! We need a leader who wants to hunt them down and work with Nations who want to help us win this fight. George Bush has taken out Afghanastan, Iraq, and Libya. Iran and North Korea have been given warnings and they are taking it seriously. What would John Kerry do? Give them Aid and ask them to like us? Do you even know what John Kerry's no.1 Military Transformation Priority is? The development of Non-Lethal Weapons. This is a DIRECT QUOTE from Defense News Magazine. Do you think the Terrorist will develop Non-Lethal weapons? Of Course Not. Should a President make this a No. 1 Priority? NO this is why I say John Kerry is Sick and he has no clue on how to lead this country in it's war on terror.

I don't understand how anyone could vote for Kerry. I live in MA and he hasn't done anything here. He doesn't even show up to vote on bills. Bob Dole resigned when he ran for president as he knew he couldn't do his job on the Senate floor. Kerry won't resign, maybe because he knows he won't win and he doesn't want to lose his seat. He doesn't even know what he stands for. In one state he will tell one group of people that he believes life begins at conception and then he speaks to another group and tells them he believes in the women's right to choose. Whats that?

Posted by: Rene at July 19, 2004 04:50 PM

You know the problem with posts like this one is that anybody can say anything they want to and not have to show any facts. For example, Gio claims that Osamu Bin Laden is stronger than ever and is planting terrorists all over the globe. Hmmm...wonder how Gio knows what Osamu is up to when the rest of the world doesn't even know where he is. My guess is he's hiding in a cave like his friend and colleague Saddam. On another note, as a career Army officer (still active), I had the opportunity to meet President Bush. That personal meeting confirmed what I had suspected when I voted for him in 2000 - that he is not only a leader, but an exceptional one at that. He is a man of values who isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes in even when it's not popular. (Unlike the last president we had who didn't know what he believed in until the polls had been counted.) My colleagues who have been deployed to Iraq are coming back with some great first-hand stories of how grateful the Iraqi people are for what Mr. Bush has done. (Thank God for Foxnews and Ollie North - they're the only way the general public would ever hear about the good things happening there.) We soldiers understand that freedom requires a sacrifices. Sometimes the ultimate sacrifice. Yet I haven't talked to one soldier who has come back and not been proud to have been a part of freeing these people and ridding the world of this evil person. Most would be happy and proud to return to Iraq if they were asked. And all of them that I've talked to respect the president because they know he is a man who will do what he says he'll do. God bless America and may President George W. Bush be reelected in a landslide in November!

After much prayer and bible study, I have concluded that God is planning to destroy the entire human race if the American people are arrogant enough to elect John Kerry. President Bush is God's most humble servant, he is working hard to bring the blessings of democracy, capitalism, and Christianity to the Iraqi people, and we cannot allow John Kerry and the Satan-worshipping democratic party to undo all of the miracles that God has worked in Iraq. A VOTE FOR KERRY IS A VOTE FOR SATAN!!

Mr. Paul P., The reason why America lost 3 million jobs had nothing to do with the congress. Do you remember 9-11. Terrorism came to this country and caused the stock market to drop below abnormal levels. Business especially travelling business such as hotels, airlines, ect..., lost millions because people were afraid to travel. You need to do your homework sir. Thank you George Bush for giving the tax cuts necessary to get the economy moving again. God Bless America

Posted by: Rene at July 20, 2004 04:35 PM

Please give me one compelling reason that George Bush has done a good job.

I agree terrorism must be stopped, but it is something that has plagued other nations for many years and is not isolated to our nation. However, the fear of terrorism is being exploited by the Bush administration to secure your vote. Let me ask you this, how were we able to find and kill Saddam's two sons, capture many of Saddam's regime and "smoke out" (as Bush likes to say) Saddam out of a spider hole yet are unable to find Bin-Laden? Please don't blame Clinton.... The attacks happened under Bush's guard and we sent troops to go find him. 11,000 to be exact... not many considering the NYPD has more officers on its force. Why has no further mention of Bin Laden been made by Bush if terrorism continues to be a continued threat.

I don't disagree that Saddam Hussein is a nut job, but quite frankly he was not responsible for 9/11 and posed no clear danger to us. Believe me, if he had the weapons and is psychotic as we make him out to be, don't you think he'd have used them?

Let me ask you this, if a nation announced that they were going to attack us based on a lack of credible evidence that we posessed weapons of mass destruction (which we do), would our administration hesitate and would you hesitate to support the use of them to prevent an invasion? This country would want blood.

Personally, I am not in favor of John Kerry as our next President either, but having watched Bush for the past four years, I've got to say he's absolutely the lesser of two evils. Let me remind you that Bush has never in his lifetime been successful at running any type of business, oil or baseball. How is he so wonderful at managing our government?

I wish many of you could get out of the arrogant mindset that the United States rules the world. We don't and George Bush is not the "leader of the free world" He is the President of the USA and that's it.

Many of you place very little importance on how we are viewed in the world by other nations, but day after day I see and hear many people showing and speaking proudly of their heritage. When asked by someone what your background is, your typical response is I'm part this, I'm part that. Unless of course you are in another country, then you become an American.

All of you are taking for granted the serious nature and negative mark Bush has left on the opinions of our allied nations. No one seems to care what others think. Well next time you're drinking your Wine, your scotch, smoking your cigars, stepping into foreign cars, pumping gas, or wearing clothes think of where those things are made. Next time you call for technical support on your electronics or computers ask the person on the other end of the line where they are located. Fact is folks, the US is much less self sufficient than ever before. Mr. Bush has made our country a disgrace across the globe yet we are incredibly reliant on many nations for our material posessions.

If Kerry is elected, our military will not go away with George Bush. Every American will still be afforded the same protection by our military regardless of who is in power. I don't believe any future President will sit idly by should further attacks occur on our soil. Ironically, Mr. Bush did for quite some time once he learned of 9/11 and there is extensive video to prove it.

I went and saw Fahrenheit 9/11 with an objective mind and with no bias. I wanted to see what all the hype was about. I neither wish to defend Michael Moore or endorse him. I did leave with the impression that there are in fact many more questions out there and I question this administrations tactics on many levels. I felt that way before I set foot in that theatre.

One thing that Bush was recorded as saying was something he referred to as the have's and the have more's and further went on to adress his audience as follows, "some people call you the elite, I call you my base" and that is excatly how I see Bush and see many of you that blindly support him.

Stop letting your religious views get in the way of reality. If it is your duty as good (insert religion) to help other people, take a trip into a ghetto, volunteer in a soup kitchen, try living on unemployment, bypass your luxury items for some time, take a ride into depressed regions of our country. Talk to a school teacher who has had to deal with the No Child Left Behind Act, talk to anyone affected by the Patriot Act and take a deep breath of reality. We are at greater risk now than ever before. Bush is not the preventer, he is largely to blame. Please stop being so ignorant.

Posted by: Kevin at July 21, 2004 01:57 AM

John Forbes Kerry has been my senator for quite some time now, and I have to say that I couldn't be happier. He has lead the way on protecting the environment, on job creation, and on civil rights. His leadership took Massachusetts out of a deep recession when Ronald Reagan pulled defense money out of state contracts to punish Ted Kennedy. I urge all of you who are not already deluded by Fox television to open your minds and review Kerry's record of sucesses. We need to get the economy back on track at home to be strong in the world. We need to have a sane foreign policy, not a policy of starting wars against nations that are not allied with terror (according to the 9/11 commission). We need to hunt down the real terrorists like Abu Mobar al-Zarqawi and Osama bin Laden that George W. Bush let get away by moving troops out of Afghanistan into Iraq. These two men were both there, and both escaped. Zarqawi is now lopping off heads and organizing coordinated bombings. Bush has made Americans and others around the world less safe with his feckless and weak foreign policy and his eagerness to overextend our armed forces to the point where if there were an attack on North America, we would not have anyone here to protect us. Our national guard are all deployed in a nation that had no weapons. Please allow us to have democracy once again and vote for Kerry. The Republicans have had enough time to screw things up. Let's not give them more. Put a Democrat in the White House, and we can start to REALLY fight the war on terror, and make it a success instead of a new Vietnam.

Posted by: Reindeer at July 21, 2004 02:29 AM

Reindeer, John Kerry has missed 2/3 of his votes as senator how is he representing your state? Put down you Kerry Koolaid and wake up. Bush has done a terrific job. He is changing the middle east for the better. Iraq, Afghanistan are now free. Libya has now come clean and has said they will no longer try and develop WMD. They did it because of fear. Iran is scared. N. Korea is scared and so is Syria. This is a GOOD THING! You caving in and saying we had no reason to go into Iraq is what the Enemy wants to hear. We need to fight TERRORISM and the Nations that support it. Kerry will do NOTHING! Have you ever met this guy? Have you ever visited his office in DC? This guy is about himself and what he can do for himself. George Bush has a vision and that is to put the terrorist on the run and to kill them.

Posted by: Ted at July 21, 2004 01:40 PM

Rene,

You truly must be one of those dimwitted droolers who suck up Fox News like it was the gospel. Let's get this straight. The recession started in March of 2001. That is 6 months prior to 9/11.

You, in your dimwitted drivelings, cite "the glory" of Bush's tax cuts. I love tax cuts too, I make more than 100K and am a recipient of his favored cuts. I also worry about the future of this nation and the deficit he has created through these cuts. This deficit will do nothing less than drive up interest rates and put the brakes on any economic prosperity we have coming to us in the future. It also threatens to do the same to our children. Lauding Bush's tax cut is akin to bragging about the deal you got on that $60,000 SUV you got while making 30K a year. It doesn't work.
I suggest you find a good economics book and read it. Maybe you will learn something. OOh yes, and ponder this thought--three of the last four Presidents spent us into a deficit. Guess which one didn't?

You can respond when you learn to think.

Posted by: Paul Pimentel at July 21, 2004 03:27 PM

A vote for Kerry is a vote for good government. Bush and Cheney have proven that all they are good at is irritating people who used to be our allies and acting like drunk cowboys in town for a Saturday night brawl. Their idea of prosperity is THEIR prosperity, NOT ours. The economy is in the toilet, we couldn't buy a friend overseas, the Nation is in a terrible situation, and all Bush can say isL "Quick, look! There's another attack coming. Elect me so I can protect you for another four years." Makes me wonder how he knows another attack is coming. Doesn't it you?

Posted by: Mycroft Holmes at July 21, 2004 03:37 PM

Reindeer,

You must watch CNN, and the local networks and consider that information to be gospel. And I'm sure you must think the Globe and NY Times are an honest source of information also.

Too bad you don't practice what you preach about being ignorant.

If you think Kerry was responsible for seeing all those things come to pass in the Senate, then you honestly don't watch CSPAN. Too bad you are as ignorant as you claim others to be.

Posted by: Rene at July 21, 2004 03:43 PM

Ok,Kerry and Edwards used to be lawyers. Bush used to be a drunk. So, what's the deal??
There are none so blind as those who will not see. Bush supporters are all blind as bats. They should watch something besides Fox News and BBC. Every word I have read here in support of Bush is straight our of one of Bush's good ole boy speeches. The man wouldn't know the truth if it slapped him in the face. Marie,

Did John Kerry lie to Congress? Yes

Has John Kerry missed 2/3 of his votes as Senator? Yes

Did John Kerry want to slash Defense Budgets and Intelligence? Yes

John Kerry did vote for the War? Yes

John Kerry also claimed WMD? Yes

John Kerry only spent 4 Months in Vietnam? Yes

John Kerry sided with the Enemy and even met with them? Yes

And you want to make this traitor the President?

Do most of our troops support Bush? YES

If they are the ones risking their lives and our fighting terrorism and they strongly support Bush doesn't that tell you something? Like Bush is doing the right thing? YES

This country has faced several things that have hurt our economy within 4 years.

1. 9/11
2. Dock Strike on the West Coast
3. Columbia Disaster

Bush's Tax cut has helped. What someone doesn't understand is that even if you create a deficit in a weak economy your doing it so that you can create a strong economy. With a strong economy you will be able to pay it off because your economy is moving forward. Also we were in a recesion during the Presidential Race in 2000.
Bush inherited an economy that was slowing down.

Clinton is the one who inherited a strong economy and he benefited from an internet boom. He also kept it going by making changes in the way we do business oversea's. To summarize the DOD no longer decided what was ok to sell over seas. The Commerce Dept decided. This is why the US sold Missile Technology to China even though the DOD was protesting this. China aquired the technology from the US because of Clinton and now China has ICBM that can hit the US. During the Bush SR. Administration China did not have an ICBM capable of hitting the US.

Keep drinking your Klinton, Kerry Koolaid

Please.. Bush has moral values.... give me an f'in break. Bush is in it for himself. Took your tax dollars, invested into a useless war, breeds fear into the American people, and takes the return. He was never successful in running any business, but he has sure found away to take your money for his and Cheney's own return.

Please, please, please will you pro-Bush people get your heads out of the sand and give me one compelling reason this man deserves another 4 years. He has accomplished nothing and has alienated everyone. The guy is a dope with a single digit IQ. Goes to show, anyone can be president.

Quite feeding me this line about Morals. You people are so ignorant and beleive that just because Bush says he's religious and god speaks to him doesn't make him a good man. Any church will accept a reformed sinner. Tne guy is a disgrace to this nation and uses religion as a front for his support. Whatever happened to spearation of church and state? And, for all of you religious fanatics... do you really think God would approve of someone like Bush... the man is going straight to hell along with his entire administration. The devil and Bush.. a match made in heaven. :-)

well said Da :) ive noticed when reading these posts all democrats talk about is themselves while most of the republicans talk about others like the iraqi's. Dems=selfish. also ive the majority of christians vote for Bush while a few christians think of Kerry as our savior. Maybe most of the christians who support Kerry should rethink about who they should vote for. Kerry=non-christian, Bush=christian. Kerry=baby killer, Bush= against baby killing. Kerry talks about how it is Bush's fault for factories moving outta the country, but yet his wife is moving one of her factories outta the country and she already has several others in other countries. I dont know if the factory has moved yet or is going to, but you get my point. just look at those. which of the two actually seems to have christian like morals? Its abvious but some of you christians vote for kerry and say God bless kerry. I really doubt God is shining his light on Kerry. Kerry seems to not want Gods light.

Mr. Paul P.

For your information I am not one of the privileged Americans who make the income you make. I make under 50,000 a year. I do not own a $60,000 SUV. So your not as smart as you think you are.

Furthermore sir, I can speak to people with respect and not call people dimwits even though liberals such as you don't seem to have that same respect for others.

If you think that this so-called recession in March of 2001 as you claim was Bush's fault since he was only in office for what, 2 months? Then you obviously do not know what you are talking about. When you get your sources from liberal Bush hating newspapers and TV stations, and you do not get your information from unbiased news sources your comments are not even going to be taken seriously. And I'm sure you still blame President Bush for 9-11 also right? Keep listening to the retoric and have your eyes closed. Kerry doesn't even know what he believes. You want to vote for that, go for it. Good for you. Then we'll see who is the dimwit.

They are pursuing the goals of the Zionist movement both in this country and abroad. This movement does not benefit America, it only benefits an elite few. Some of you have bought into the lies that Bush loves you and he is a compassionate conservative and a very religious man. HA!!! Bush loves $$$$....Bush loves oil!!!!! Bush loves Imperialism!!!!! Bush loves corporate thugs!!!!!!! Bush loves illegal immigrants!!!!!! And you who support him, support a weak, morally coward little man who knows nothing about humility. He is no different than the cowardly terrorist who attacked our people on Sept 11, 2001. If you admire liars (Christian?) then vote for Bush/Chaney. If you believe in freedom vote for a liberal. Liberal means "free". It is a sacred American word. Christian means a whole different context to me than it does George Bush. He delights in government murder by execution via the death penalty. Ask Jesus. He was executed by the government too. Love and peace, Sarah

Posted by: Sarah at July 24, 2004 01:07 AM

Well, I see some of you Bush lovers keep asking the question, 'What did Bush lie about?'

1. His military record during vietnam.
2. WMD in Iraq
(How can you say Kerry is a liar too, because he voted to go to war. When the war started I agreed with it too, believing that we were in imminent danger and Saddam had WMD. It is now obvious, there was faltered intelligence, and forced issues by the Bush administration, and that even congress believed it.)

Posted by: Robert R, NJ at July 24, 2004 02:39 AM

I am a VN veteran and I realized VN war wasn't made any sence that why John Kerry throw back the medal back to the white house and he was right. I always support for our troop no matter what because it is their job. One thing about the word FlipFlop, it just because the Bush amd just want to misled and confuse the American people again! let me ask you? where is WMD, Huriburton contract in Irag and Uranium from Africa? What is democracy Bush wants Irag people to have ? How many American Soldiers died already? I never have my vote on this fabricator on first place. If I have no chance, I just stay home and sleep.

Posted by: Hiem ngo at July 24, 2004 11:50 AM

Thank goodness our government is set up the way it is. With Bush it's his way or else. Makes for a great dictator.

Posted by: Norma at July 24, 2004 02:26 PM

I can't believe you liberals are still on that Bush lied about 9-11 and the WMD's. Have you even read the 9-11 report. Let me guess, you probably idolize Michael Moore also. HA HA What a joke.

And by the way Mr. Hiem, its Halerburton not Huriburton. That just shows how much you know what you are talking about.

Good Grief, you people need help.

All you soccer mom's out there, please listen. The only way for America to be safe is to have a strong military and a strong President. Don't believe in the appeasement loving liberal democrats who are soft and weak. History repeats itself and in WWII appeasers such as Neville Chamberlin in Britain almost cost the allies the war. Thank God Winston Churchill, became Prime Minister and defeated Hitler's Germany. George W. Bush is the Churchill of our times. If you love your family and want a strong county vote for Bush.

Seen the latest polls? Bush is tied or ahead by slim margin. And his aproval rating is starting to climb back too! Oh well, so much for the bad news

Correct answer is 32

Yep Bush did build a Coalition of Countries. Just that France, Germany, and Russia were not part of. Do they really matter? No They would have actually slowed us down in the invasion.

Hopefully this has educated some people but probably not because they can't take off their sunglasses and put down their Kerry Kool Aid.
Look at the real facts and not other people's opinions.

It is imperative that President Bush and his staff lead the countries effort in the implementation of the Commission's recommendations. He faces probably the most difficult task since World War II in the implementation of an appropriate Intelligence apparatus. I know that they are up to the task, and I urge them to implement a Centralized Intelligence 'CZAR' immediately. This will send a clear message to the American people, Congress and the Intelligence Services that President Bush is a strong and foresighted President that should be reelected for his courage to tackle the myriad of Intelligence Services and Congressional Oversight Committees. Strength in action is all that these people understand.

Sarah-
You are ignorant- The government did not kill Jesus. If you would study the Bible you would understand this. In Matthew 27 v21-26, Pilate asked,"Which of the two do you want me to release to you?""Barabbas." they answered.v22 "What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called Christ?"Pilate asked. They all answered, "Curcify him!"v23 "Why? What crime has he committed?" asked Pilate. But they shouted all the louder,"Crucify him!"v24 When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. "I am innocent of this man's blood," he said. "It is your responsibility!" v25 All the pople answered," Let his blood be on us and on our children!" v26 Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.

Sarah, you have to understand it was the mob of people that crucified Christ. Mobs with the aid of lying have alot of power. Much like the democrats and all their lies today.

George Bush's definition of Christianity is correct. Iraq isn't about our tax dollar and budgets. Its about freedom, like we have here, where we can state our opinions. The Iraq women at ages 16 and 17 years old, are now going to school - 1st grade. The torturing of innocent people has stopped. Free trade is alive in Iraq. Thats Christianity!! God Bless you. Peace and Love, Steve Plamann

John Kerry's thirst for power over principle will ultimately corrupt him just as history illustrates so clearly it always does. Courage permitts individuals to express their individual opinions on all matters. This results in both good and bad decisions, but free require this risk in order to grow and prosper. A true analysis of Kerry's ideas clearly illustrates that more and more decisions are taken away from individuals and placed in the hands of a few. This does not embrace freedom, nor does it empower societies to grow freely.

I voted for Bush in 2000, and I regret it now. I let my dislike of how Al Gore was continually changing his mind based upon which way the current polling was going affect which man I thought would be the better President.

Not this time. Ask any economist if tax cuts help a country out of a recession and the answer is only if done right at the beginning of the recession. With our legislative system that is almost impossible, and most in Washington know this, including George I am sure. But we all knnow that the appearance of doing something is much better politically than sitting idle, even when sitting idle is the better thing to do.

As for Sadam, I will not argue that he is a evil person and deserves what he got, but can we honestly say that the world is a safer place because of his removal? And how about Osama Bin Laden, have we forgotten about him? He has publicly declared war on our country and actually attacked our country several times, killing thousands of civilians, yet Sadam is more important. What Bush has done is essentially gone after Mussolini while letting Hitler get away. And why is Sadam so important if we are in the business of spreading democracy through military force? Are there not atrocities accuring in the Sudan, North Korea, Libya, and multiple other dictatorships around the world? Oil comes to mind for me, how about you?

I would love to be wrong and that in ten years we will be looking at Irag as the bastion of democracy in the Middle East, but I sadly doubt it will happen.

Posted by: Mark at July 26, 2004 09:22 AM

It doesn't matter whether Bush lied, whether he had bad intel, or whether he persuaded the CIA to skew the intel. Bush was the one who ultimately made the decision to invade Iraq, and he must ultimately be held accountable for that decision. Accountability goes straight to the top. That's how it works in the business world, and that's how it should work in politics. Anything else is passing the buck.

Furthermore, the ends do not justify the means. The question is not whether Saddam Hussein was an immoral dictator and whether Iraqis are better off today. Of course they are better off. The question is whether WE are better off. Saddam had no WMDs. Terrorist attacks are up in 2003, according to the State Department. And Americans are dying almost every day in Iraq.

I voted for Bush in 2000, but I am not voting for someone who preaches accountability but yet cannot take accountability for his own mistakes.

"The President - whoever he is - has to decide. He can't pass the buck to anybody. No one else can do the deciding for him. That's his job."

- Harry Truman, 1953

I want the administrators of softvote.com to put a gag order on all the liberals in here immediately. There try to pass their opinions off as "mainstream" when clearly they are EXTREME. If John Kerry is elected, he will allow men to marry other men, he will allow women to stick their hands up into their uterus and pull out their unborn baby, he will tell our children that the only god is evolution. There are many similarities between President Bush and Jesus Christ. But there are no similarities between John Kerry and Jesus, in fact there are more similarities between John Kerry and Satan.

Ben,

Terrorism has been around alot longer than just recently. The only difference is we weren't apart of the terrorism until it came to America. Now that we are involved of course you hear of more terrorist activities because the media likes to report the bad news. Especially when a republican is in office.

Wake up. Where have you been? Look at Israel and the middle east. They have been dealing with terrorism since back to the bible days.

Terrorists are angry with us, because we aren't going to take it. We have a President with GUTS. They don't like that. They like WIMPS in office. Remember when Clinton was in office. The attack on the US Cole. What did he do about it? Nothing!!! He took a poll and the americans at that time didn't take terrorism seriously enough so he chose not to do anything about the terrorist acts. Now look at what has happened. You want someone to blame, put the blame where it belongs.

Posted by: Rene at July 27, 2004 12:38 PM

the only things against kerry that the republicans have is a PAST lack of military and anti-terrorism spending. well hate to break it to you republicans but bush did the same....RIGHT BEFORE 9/11!!! which was probably staged by him nways. but speeking from a strictly mainstream media printed viewpoint - he cut spending to anti-terrorism units and is, as we speak, cutting pay to our young people in combat over seas as well as reducing benefits to those who have given of themselves in previous wars. perhaps these budget cuts wouldnt be needed if bush hadnt called for massive tax cuts that benefited mostly the upper class (his campaign contributers). maybe these budget cuts wouldnt be necessary if he had not, on TOP of getting rid of our budget surplus through tax cuts, gone into another country unprovoked - a country who never threatened or hurt us by the way and started a war without having a plan as to how we were going to leave the country.

so you think kerry will cut spending? please!! he said that he would increase benefits for injured veterans and he is NOT weak on terrorism. he went into this war saying we are going into iraq to stop sadam hussein who is harboring al quida (whos leader osama bin laden by the way hated hussein) and to get his weapons of mass destruction (be they chemical or nuclear).

when did this focus change from terrorist hunting and weapons destruction to freeing the iraqi people? ill tell you when!! when his lie was found out and the ignorant and unthinking american people began thinking well wait a min. here. the saudis give waaaaaaay more money to terrorist and iraq has the second largest oil reserves in the world....bush + presidency = opportunity to take iraqi oil? i think soooooooooo. so here we have a lying, betraying bush regarding war and defense spending. THEN he starts on our civil liberties. we have our lovely proposed constitutional ammendment banning gay marriage as well as the patriot act and department of homeland security. we have our lax environtmental restrictions for big bus. factories (once again for bush leading contributers who make up a VERY small percentage of our countries population). we have our corporate accounting and executive frauds. lovely as well seeing as how the man who gave the most to his 2000 campaign got the money from us, the american people, when he F****NG STOLE IT FROM ENRON INVESTRORS!!! not like bush would care neway since when you go back and look at all of his lovely harken scandals and previous bus. fraud he would appear as guilty as the rest of them.

but wait! does it stop there? i think not!
now we have halliburtan (sp?) - the company of our dearest vice pres cheney which just so haaaappened to recieve over 1.66 outa 1.99 billion dollars of ALL the american and iraqi contracts in iraq.

the american gov is just one big cash cow to the bush family and its friends and while some ....hmm...many ill informed republicans may blindly believe that our president is right in saying that kerry cant handle national security in a way that ensures the safety of the american people - id honestly rather have a pres that does nothing but maintain the american way of life rather than improve it (as kerry is accused of doing) than a pres. who blatantly rips us off, lies to us and gets us deeper and deeper into trouble with the international community.

as for education? Millions of 8-year-olds are given lists of words and phrases. they are then graded. then the children scoring lowly have the option of being sent to another school where they can do better? riiiiiiight. it never happens. the money that was supposed to go towards this plan went to end the inheritance tax giving rich peoples kids a few more million in money when they die essentially making it the no child whos parents make at least 7 digits a year are left behind act. then what happens? the kids who are tested as not being well enough educated are locked in. there are no "optional schools" for them to attend unlike bush who attended Philips Andover Academy where even with the help of some of the countries finest teachers he, upon graduation, managed only to score a 25 outa 100 on the air national guards test. yes ladies and gents - almost to stupid to be allowed to operate on or in an airplane.

hes not even the one who truly makes the decisions. i dont know if you are all aware of this or not but bush has never EVER been on television or to an interview where his responses and have not been scripted by his staff before hand and even THEN he fucks up.

hes a joke. neone willing to do their home work would see that. i dont especially agree with all that kerry says but compared to bush - nething is better

Posted by: Charles Hsey at September 7, 2004 04:04 PM

vote for kerry cause bush is always elected.
